Change the future!

Make a lasting impact on the future of vascular intervention and stroke innovation through neuroimaging

The primary objective of the Vascular Intervention & Stroke Innovation thrOugh Neuroimaging (VISION) is to establish a diverse platform where experts from both the public and private sectors can collaborate, share their expertise, and reach a consensus on strategies aimed at enhancing vascular intervention and stroke innovation through neuroimaging.VISION aims to foster advancements in research studies and clinical practice in this field. To achieve this, VISION will facilitate a comprehensive multidisciplinary collaboration involving key clinical disciplines such as neurosurgeons, neuroendovascular surgeons, neurointerventional radiologists, and neurologists.

Who is Involved?

VISION architecture thus includes 3 major stakeholders from research and practice in the field of vascular intervention and stroke innovation through neuroimaging: academia (leading international physicians/scientists from all involved disciplines), industry (scientists and executives from private sector pharmaceutical, device, and imaging companies), and regulatory institutions (executive managers, physicians and scientists from NIH and FDA).

Introduction to ARISE 2023

The ARISE Consensus Roundtable will bring together all 3 stakeholders in brain aneurysm, chronic subdural hematoma and brain arteriovenous malformation research and practice: academia (leading international physicians/scientists from all involved disciplines), industry (scientists and executives from private sector pharmaceutical, device and imaging companies), and regulatory institutions (executive managers, physicians and scientists from government agencies). The aim of the Roundtable is to advance and accelerate stroke research to ultimately result in improved acute stroke treatment, care, and prevention. To achieve this goal, ARISE will:
  • Develop new approaches to overcome barriers impeding stroke drug and device development

  • Discuss clinical trial designs for drug and device approval

  • Identify, clarify and communicate the implications of new research including robotics to the to the hemorrhagic stroke field
  • Discuss new machine learning software programs/AI and data sciences and their role in managment of brain aneurysms, cSDH and bAVM
  • Publish the consensus recommendations of ARISE participants which address these concerns
  • Promote adoption of ARISE solutions by the research, industry, clinical and government communities
The overarching aim of the Aneurysm/AVM/cSDH Roundtable Discussion with Industry and Stroke Experts (ARISE) is to create a multidisciplinary platform that can allow collaborations of public and private sector experts to share their knowledge and achieve consensus on strategies intended to improve stroke prevention approaches through advances in research studies and clinical practice. ARISE will include a broad multidisciplinary collaboration as the primary clinical disciplines involved in stroke prevention and care efforts and include neurosurgeons, neuroendovascular surgeons, neurointerventional radiologist and neurologists.
